One of the most important forms of exercise we can do on a regular basis during the COVID-19 pandemic is yoga.  The breath-work and relaxation techniques are deeply calming, and the blend of strength and flexibility exercises are a perfect combination for developing our fitness.  Taken together, these work to boost our immune system and support our overall wellness.  Therefore, I will be offering a home online yoga studio experience to aid us in engaging in regular yoga practice!

Each week I'll be offering a new yoga video in several different styles of yoga.  Wanting to focus on one style of yoga?  Practice that video several times throughout the week.  Looking for variety within your fitness routine?  Try them each!

You will have the option to follow along with videos LIVE while they are being taped through a LIVE-stream video in a private Facebook Group (at the times listed on the schedule below), or you will have access to saved videos two different places:  On this website through a password-protected page or in a private Facebook Group.  

In addition, the first Saturday of every month I'll be offering a ZOOM meeting called Asana Analysis - a workshop for us to break down our yoga postures to learn how to practice them more effectively for our bodies and how to find pose modifications that feel right for us!  This will also be videotaped and saved for later viewing (and only Jessica's camera will be taped and saved!).

Yoga Flow: 
A flowing yoga practice with a fitness focus.  We will move through a combination of movements and postures with attention to building strength and flexibility.  
Equipment:  Yoga mat recommended.  Occasionally we'll have the option to use a yoga strap, yoga blocks, or blankets. 


Chair Yoga:
A gentle yoga practice utilizing the chair.  We will explore seated postures on the chair, standing postures with the support of the chair, kneeling postures, and lying postures.  We will move mindfully through our transitions - when we're seated, we'll be seated for a while, once we're lying, we'll stay there through the end of practice.  Postures are selected to be joint-friendly.  
Equipment:  Chair (sturdy base, with a back), blankets, yoga strap recommended.  Yoga mat optional. 


Power Yoga: 
A flowing yoga practice with a strength and cardio focus.  We will challenge our bodies through sequences of poses intended to work our major muscle groups and elevate the heart rate!  
Equipment:  Yoga mat recommended.


Restorative Yoga:
A deeply relaxing yoga practice.  We will use props to find supported postures  and spend more time in each posture.  We will end our practice with a guided meditation.  A great practice for the end of our week!
Equipment:  Yoga mat and blankets recommended.  A rectangular yoga bolster is recommended; if you're not ready to invest in one, then this can be recreated at home with 3-4 thick blankets or a few pillows.  


Asana Analysis (via ZOOM):
Take your yoga pose (asana) to the next level!  We will workshop a few yoga postures, taking time to break down how to properly find our alignment, what to feel in the yoga poses, and how to pick a posture option with support that works best for your body.  This will be an informal workshop, with time allowed during the LIVE taping to ask Jessica questions and get feedback from Jessica on your alignment!  
This session will be hosted via a live ZOOM meeting, so that we can see each other and communicate with each other.  A ZOOM meeting invitation will be emailed out prior to our session.  The session will be recorded (only Jessica's video will be recorded), so if you can't make the meeting, you can watch the session later!
Equipment:  Chair (sturdy base, with a back), blankets, yoga strap, and yoga blocks recommended.  Set up your practice with wall space available.
